m i n t

I pulled this from the Oh Joy! blog. Looks like a really cool, eclectic store.

I fell in love...

...with a certain typeface named Archer. My friend Holly and I were talking about it this morning. I have loved it since it was released this spring, and she informed me that it was the typeface used in Martha Stewart! Now it's open to the public for purchasing. It's so friendly and elegant, especially for a slab serif.

Baby Alex!

Saturday we got to see my my Uncle James, my cousin Christopher and his wife Violeta, and their beautiful new baby Alex! We had such a fun time. The baby is so cute and funny. Thanks to Aunt Pam and Uncle James for the picture! I've got more on my camera that I need to upload.

Beach Trip

We headed down to the beach this past week, and were with the McMurtrie family from Wednesday night through Sunday. The weather was perfect, and we did some major vegging out. Harry Potter was all the rage yet again, as Robin and Thompson are reading them for the first time. We ate tenderloin, smoked fine cigars (the McMurtrie version of Cuban), and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. As some of the pictures will tell, I tried some skimboardage. It's really fun! Although I must admit to getting fairly banged up; my knees (and face) are still killing me.
