Eu-googly Eric Carle!

Imagine my delight today when I spotted a type treatment paying tribute to illustrator Eric Carle and The Very Hungry Caterpillar on the Google homepage! Here is an article. "The book, published in 1969, still sells one copy every 30 seconds in the world, 40 years after it was originally published." Incredible.

And the article gave this link for Google's archive of holiday logos. I really love these. This is like a collector's dream!!

Dennis Hwang is the graphic designer who designs the logos for Google, creating about 50 logos each year. What a fun job!

Here are a few more from months past.

This one was designed by Jeff Koons!

I love the different designs that Google does for holidays. (I wonder how you enter the contests?) Here's the one for today. Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! I love being Irish and am proud of my heritage.

Domestic Construction

I love the custom wall treatments and surfaces, household objects, attire, and interior decor by domestic construction. They work with a lot of found objects and materials and were recently featured in ReadyMade.
