I love age 2. There’s such a sense of an overflow of personhood. He’s somehow fully a baby and fully a little boy at the same time in one little cute body. And now he says, “Come on, Petey!” #sweeteypetey 🐌 🐶

Sometimes I’ll paint something really quickly and I don’t even really like the end result (for example, here I needed more complex color and I don’t like the 50/50 composition) but it’s like my hands wouldn’t allow my brain enough time to even think through those things. I know I’m not alone in this. Sometimes you just get overtaken by a spirit and can’t relax til it can come through your hands and paintbrush...it doesn’t even really care how.
