Paste: I meant to post this little gem yesterday. If any of you are wanting to start or dabble in your own #mixedmediamonday with your kids (or on your own!) then I highly recommend this book to you. Beautiful Oops shows, in a wonderfully mixed media way, how we can turn "mistakes" into something beautiful. This is a great tool to help kids train their thinking to be more abstract and their solutions to be outside the box. It helps them see that we can--and should--let go of perfection and instead enjoy the process of creating art and design, and that pushing through any hard part is the way that we get to the best solutions and expression.
